A Closer Look At Who I Am

A Closer Look At Who I Am

At Flow Free Designs two of my core values are transparency and honesty. I want to make sure that you, my valued customers and friends, have all of the information you need and more with regards to every aspect of my business.

Why is this so important to me? Because I don’t want to start a business based on deceit, that is disrespectful to both you and me. And I don’t know about you, but I don’t like giving my precious time and business to companies that lie to their customers.

How am I doing this? By providing you with copious amounts of information in many different ways. The first is in our product descriptions. I tried to include everything you would need to know in order to make the most informed decision possible about any given product.

Through our blog posts. Our blog posts include a wide range of topics, things that you may never have thought of to consider before, as well as a more in depth look at our company and who we partner with. If you have any suggestions on blog posts or things you would be interested in learning more about that are related to our company please contact us and let us know!! We want to provide content that is the most relevant to you.

And through ourselves. We do our best to be as accessible and open with everyone as much as we possibly can. We are on a beautiful journey right now and we would like nothing more than to have you travel with us, but we do not expect you to if we are not honest and respectful to you.

And so in this post we are going to dive a little bit deeper into the scary minds that are us!!! To do this we derived a questionnaire that both Brianna and I filled out that will give you a better understanding as to who we are and why we’re doing this. Let's dive a little deeper shall we.

A Deeper Dive

If you could create the best future for you, what would it look like?

Candace: The best future for me would be one in which I am married to the love of my life. One where we travel the world together, encourage each other and walk side by side through whatever life has waiting. It’s a future where our respective businesses and investments are flourishing. It’s a future where we can travel with our children and teach them about the world by allowing them to experience it. It’s a future filled with joy and love.

How do you recharge?

Candace: As an extrovert I recharge the most by being around other people, but even more so when I am around the people that I love. Spending time with those that I hold most dear is more powerful for me than being around those that I don’t. However my alone time is also important when it comes to recharging. As an extrovert my alone time may range from an hour to an afternoon before I’m ready to be with people again, but it’s still important so that I don’t lose myself to the influence of others.

What Inspires you?

Candace: What inspires me the most is people. Talking to people, reading books, listening to podcasts and other people’s journey’s.

What do you enjoy doing for fun?

Candace: For fun I like to engaging in meaningful conversations, go for walks, play games, watch movies, dance, and do some reading.

What are you most determined to do in your life?

Candace: I am determined to travel and see the wonders of the world. Explore different cultures and meet new people. Marry the love of my life and enjoy a plethora of adventures with him in all aspects of life, including starting a family of our own. Build a successful business and investment portfolio that will have my money working for me so that I can help other people around the world.

How have your priorities changed over time?

Candace: Over the last 5 years my priorities have changed drastically. I went from focusing on finding a good job and trying to advance my career, to finding something to do with my life that brings meaning to me. Something where I can make a difference for other people but will also allow me to live the life I dream of and spend more time with the people that mean the most to me. I’ve also stopped worrying so much about what other people think of me and my choices in life and started worrying more about what choices are going to make things better and move me and the people around me forward.

What has been your greatest challenge in life and how did you overcome it?

Candace: My greatest challenge in life has always been my fear of change and the unknown. I never dealt with it very well and making a decision without having any idea how it would turn out was always terrifying for me. My first massive step forward to conquer this challenge happened when I needed to decide whether or not to go to university and which school to go to. As the youngest child in my family I always had my sisters paving the way for me so I always knew what to expect. But neither one had gone to post secondary by the time I graduated high school. So it was my turn to pave the way. It has been a long, hard road to become more comfortable with change and to be able to look at it and see it in a more calm , focused light. But to this day it’s still a challenge for me at times and it is a continuous process of learning and growing and becoming more confident in who I am and in my abilities. As well as coming to the understanding and acceptance that no matter what I choose I need to be okay with the consequences of that choice and be ready to learn from it.

Would you say your life is meaningful? Why do you say that?

Candace: Most definitely. I have worked so hard to build my life up to where it is today and to try and make a positive impact on the world and the people around me.

What are the top 3 most beautiful things in the world to you?

Candace: There are so many things in life that I find beautiful, but 3 of them are people laughing and enjoying life, Christmas lights and other mood lighting and the wondrous joys of nature. Nature is so beautiful if you only you take the time to notice it.

What makes you feel empowered?

Candace: A bright sunshiny morning, a nice shower and power outfit that matches my mood. This outfit could include the perfect pair of jeans and a nice top, a nice dress or workout wear. Also having the support and encouragement of my loved ones helps me to keep going.

If you could give anyone any piece of advice who would you give it to and what would that advice be?

Candace: To all of those people out there who think that their dreams won’t ever come true my advice would be to find people in their lives who will encourage them to pursue what makes them happy. People who will be honest with you and help you as best they can. And then just keep going, eventually you will get there, but you will have to work for it every day. But while you’re working don’t forget to enjoy the journey. Life is about the journey not about the destination.
